Why Choose Our Hot Melt Densifier?

Superior Volume Reduction

Hot-melt technology achieves an industry-leading compression ratio of up to 90:1, turning large piles of foam into small, dense ingots.

Create Profitable Ingots

The output is a solid, easy-to-handle PS ingot that is a valuable commodity, turning your waste disposal costs into a new revenue stream.

Broad Material Capability

Effectively processes a wide range of foam types, including EPS, XPS (insulation board), EPP, and PSP (food trays).

High-Efficiency Operation

Integrates crushing, melting, and extrusion into one continuous, automated process controlled by a user-friendly PLC system for stable output.

High-Density Output

Produces solidified blocks with a density of 600-800 kg/m³, making them easy to stack, store, and transport without breaking apart.

Environmentally Friendly

Diverts enormous amounts of foam from landfills. The melting process is controlled to minimize odors, ensuring a cleaner operational environment.

From Waste Foam to Valuable Ingot

1

Feeding & Shredding

Bulky foam waste is fed into the hopper, where a high-torque shredder breaks it into small, uniform pieces.

2

Нагрівання та плавлення

The shredded pieces are conveyed into the heating barrel by a specialized screw mechanism, where they are melted into a molten state.

3

Extrusion

The screw pushes the molten plastic through a die, purging gases and impurities while forming a continuous, dense rope of material.

4

Cooling & Solidifying

The extruded material cools rapidly upon exiting the machine, solidifying into dense, hard ingots or blocks.

5

Collection & Sale

The finished ingots are easily stacked on pallets for storage, transport, and sale to plastic recyclers and manufacturers.

Core Components of Our Machine

Dual-Shaft Shredder

Features powerful, wear-resistant blades that efficiently break down all types of foam waste, ensuring a consistent feed for the melting system.

Hot Melt Screw Extruder

The heart of the machine. A high-strength alloy screw designed to convey, compress, and heat the foam into a uniform molten state.

Advanced Heating System

Multiple independent heating zones along the barrel allow for precise temperature control, ensuring optimal melting without burning the material.

Smart PLC Control System

Automates the entire process, from shredder speed to heating temperature, ensuring consistent performance, safety, and ease of use for the operator.

Поширені запитання

What’s the main difference between a hot melt densifier and a cold press compactor?
A hot melt densifier uses heat to melt the foam, achieving a much higher compression ratio (up to 90:1) and creating solid, non-brittle ingots. A cold press compactor uses pressure alone, resulting in a lower compression ratio (around 50:1) and blocks that can be more brittle.
Does the melting process create harmful fumes or odors?
Our machines use a precisely controlled heating system that melts the foam without burning it. While proper ventilation in the workspace is always recommended, the process is engineered to minimize odors and fumes.
Які типи пінопласту може переробляти ця машина?
The machine is highly versatile and primarily designed for EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), but it also effectively processes XPS, EPE, and EPP foam. It is ideal for recycling packaging, insulation boards, and food containers (after cleaning).
How much revenue can I generate from the ingots?
The market price for recycled PS ingots fluctuates, but they are a sought-after commodity. Selling the ingots can create a significant revenue stream, quickly covering the machine’s operational costs and turning a waste problem into a profit center.
What is the maintenance requirement for the machine?
Maintenance is straightforward. It includes regular cleaning of the hopper, checking the condition of the shredder blades, and ensuring the screw and barrel are clear of contaminants, as outlined in the user manual.
